Biography
James was born in Charlemont, Franklin, Massachusetts on 5 Nov 1788.[1][2] He is the fifth born child and second son of George Phips and Mary Unknown. James announced intentions of marriage to Sally Cook in Charlemont on 21 Jul 1816.[3] Possible children from his marriage, and his date and place of death are not yet known.
