Giovanni Piazza is born and baptized 6 May 1800 in Corleone, the son of Don Francesco Piazza and Ignazia Grizzaffi. His godparents are Bernardo and Bernarda Maida, a married couple.
In the 1834 census, ‘’Donna’’ Ignazia, 66 (b. 1768), heads a household as you go up the strada di Maestro Paolo Gallo. She lives with her children: Carmela, 36 (b. 1798), ‘’Don’’ Giovanni, 34 (b. 1800), Giuseppe, 28 (b. 1806---he is actually 30), Paolo, 24 (b. 1810---he is actually 32), and Antonino, 21 (b. 1813---he is actually 24).[1]
Dottore Giovanni, who is unmarried, dies on 14 November 1841. His age at death, 41, is not recorded.
