Hi Vincent,

We are very distant cousins! I'd like to get on the trusted list for my mother and grandmother's profiles, which you are managing. It looks like you haven't been active lately, but I'm hoping you'll get one of my messages and give me access. It seems you've been a huge contributor to this site, looking forward to collaborating on some of our shared ancestors' profiles sometime.

I just want to say how much I enjoy reading biographies that you've put on profiles. They are so concise and well written. I'm learning so I can try to emulate them!

Thank you for the advice you gave me regarding Collins-1481 (Sarah Word). I went back through the profiles for the persons listed as her parents and was able to determine that she had been added as a child incorrectly. I was able to remove her as a child for both parents. There was quite a bit of information on both people, but nothing that included Sarah.

Thanks again for your help.

On 9 Jul 2016 you left a public comment on Collins-1481 (Sarah Word) regarding her death date being before most of her children's births. I adopted the profile and corrected it to read 1783, based on info from book "Word Family Heritage: 1652-2008" by Richard Waites and Wynette Word Barton. I know most people seem to show her maiden name as Collins, but both Wynette and another Word researcher say it may not be. Since the courthouse in New Kent Co VA was burned in 1782, none of the records are available to check. I hesitate to change it as someone initially put a lot of info in the profile. Would my changing it be wise?

Well I thought I uploaded my raw DNA from 23 & Me to GEDmatch, but I guess it didn't work. I can't say I recommend it for the difficulty in successfully uploading raw DNA. I guess I uploaded it to Genesis DNA ok. Frustrating, as I would like to compare DNA with any potential relatives who have taken the test.

Hi Vincent, You left a Thank you on one of my edits so I checked out your profile. Instead of working I got caught up in your song list, which I loved by the way. Thank you for lightening my mood.

Okay, enough singing, back to work :)

Hi Hun,

Vincent and Lisa are 16th cousins twice removed.

I just wanted to send a note and say thank you for explaining to the lady about the unsourced coding. I am in a couple projects and was updating the profiles. You were correct that they had no solid sources so I labeled them. I was not trying to put her knowledge down, just alert the profile as needing the love.

Thank you for your proposed merge for my brother, William Fiske. I approved Merge but I don’t know how to complete it. Also, he was my full brother not a half brother as it states in some of these profiles. How do I fix that?

Many thanks Vincent! Certainly are a generous genealogist!
