Hello Mike,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working with members of the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus. Review the project pages for special guidelines and to learn how to collaborate with the project members.

Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles you manage, or edit. (See:https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Pre-1700_Profiles#Cite_reliable_sources).

Thanks for your note, Mike, and for lowering your privacy. If you will be working on profiles for living people often, I recommend checking your own privacy from time to time.

Please do let me know if you have any questions about how WikiTree works, even if they seem minor. My rule of thumb when I started was to search for an answer for five minutes, then reach out to my Greeters, and then resume searching. I might have found the answer before they got back with me but they sometimes offered a different way of doing the same thing which was easier. We are always here to help.

See you in the branches,

Hi Mike,

The parents for this James Anderson are John Secombe Anderson and ----- Hardacre Anderson both born in Nova Scotia in the 1790's. Pat Anderson Grainger

Hi Mike,

I have a couple of questions concerning James Anderson. You have his Parents being Thomas and Christian Anderson can you confirm how you found this out. I have James Anderson married to Christian Anderson nee Wright and you have him also married to Christian Crooket 03/10/1782. I have him still with Christian Wright and having children at this timeline can you help with any further info, Kind regards, Billy Anderson.

hi Mike - thanks for the messages left on the Dick profiles. I'll add your info asap. Andrew Dick (Dick-571) is a direct ancestor of mine - 8 generations. Are they in your line also?

Michael, I can read the documents for you. When you build your family tree here, on the profiles for the person concerned, upload them as photo, then let me know and I will try to read them for you. I read Hungary documents everyday and also give you some tips on finding more depending on the borders.

Good luck .
