Julia was born in 1810. She was the daughter of Joseph Nicholas Pickard (1786 – 1847) and Julia N. Coleman (1788 – 1877). Children of Peter and Julia: Ann Amanda Van Sickle (b. 1829), Andrew B Van Sickle (b. 1831), Sarah Van Sickle (b. 1833), Selah Van Sickle (1836 – 1846), Jane Ann Van Sickle (b. 1838), John M Van Sickle (b. 1840), Julia P Van Sickle (b. 1843), Harriet P Van Sickle (b. 1846), Maria Caroline Van Sickle (1848 – 1851). Julia passed away in 1882, and was buried at Greenwood Cemetery, Stephenson County, Illinois.[1]
