Nellie Pickel was born on 24 Dec 1884 in Putnam County, Indiana, USA^[1] with parents named as G W (aka George W Pickel (1860-1930) and "Nettie" Anderson (aka Matilda Louise (Anderson) Pickel (abt.1861-abt.1927) (Note: I have no idea where "Nettie" came from on her birth record.)^[2][3]

In 1900, "Nellie N" Pickel (15) and her two sisters - Ama C (12) and Jessie B (10) , and their parents George (39) and Matilda L (38) (who was shown as having been in the USA for 29 years) were living in Monroe, Putnam, Indiana. The parents had been married for 19 years. Their father was working as a lumberman.^[4]

"Nellie V" Pickle and Edward Darnall were married in Putnam County, Indiana on 8 Feb 1904.^[5]

Nellie Pickel Darnall passed away on 24 Jan 1953 in Bainbridge, Putnam, Indiana and was placed at rest at the Bainbridge Cemetery in Bainbridge, Putnam, Indiana where she shared a memorial stone.^[1][3]
