Biography
I am struggling to find a marriage that fits James & Phyllis. There is nothing in the various PR's surrounding the Colkirk/Oxwich area where the first born child is noted. Nor, is there anything noted in Boyd's Marriage Index for Norfolk.
However, as noted in the research folder, there is an interesting marriage in 1786 in Doncaster, York (about 120 miles away) that is in the right time frame and between a James Jacob & Phyllis Picking. is this also why we cannot find a birth in the area for James? Further research needed, obviously!
