Born: Jonathan, son of William and Sarah (Wright) Pickering, was born on 14th d of 4 mo, 1761 (April 14, 1761) in Frederick Co, VA.[1]
Marriage: Jonathan Pickering, son of William Pickering, and Sarah his wife, of Back Creek, Virginia, married Phebe Barrett, daughter of Benjamin Barrett, deceased, and Ellinor (Rogers) Barrett on 17th day 10th mo, 1782 at the Hopewell Meeting. [Kerns p158][2][3][4]
Death: Apparently died before Aug 1789 as he is not mentioned in his father's will. Abstract of William Pickering's Will dated 22 August, 1789, proved Oct. 1789. Wife Sarah, Sons: John Jacob; Daughter: Hannah Berry, Mary Ellia, Lydia Adams.
NOT CONFIRMED as same person, but there is a Jonathan Pickering who died in 1825 in Highland City, Highland, Ohio, [5] whose will was witnessed by Jonathan Barrett, Levi Barrett and Susannah Barrett naming as heir Benjamin Pickering, William Pickering, Elenor Pickering, Jonathan Pickering, David Pickering, Hannah Dick, formerly Pickering and Lydia Pickering. [6]At Least two of Jonathan's siblings died in Ohio. FindAGrave shows Jonathan buried at Lees Creek, Clinton County, Ohio, USA and William and Sarah as Jonathan's parents, Jacob Pickering as his brother and Mary Pickering Ellis as his sister.
