Hannah Lord was the first wife of my ggrandfather John Pickup. They had a family of five children. When Hannah died, John married Isabell Fletcher Crichton, and they had eight children. Two girl babies died at birth. John was a business man, ran an Inn I believe called Jodrell Arms. He also owned a calico factory and died fabric. The mill was sued because a cow died. John was sued. Lost everything and died of a heart attack. Isabell was a hat designer and opened her own shop. Her son Laurence moved to Canada, and soon after the other boys followed.
