No. 16 dated May 2, 1780. INVENTORY OF COMMUNITY PROPERTY OF THE LATE FRANCOIS GIRARD AND HIS WIFE, MARIE JOSEPHE PICOU. Robin de Logny goes to the farm of Widow Picou (Marie Josephe Larmissiau), mother of Marie Joseph Picou, to inventory and appraise the community property of Marie Josephe Picou and the late Francois Girard. Inventory taken by Pierre Joachim Rene de Saint Germain and Pierre Gautie (residents of St. Charles Parish) in the presence of Marie Joseph Picou and Widow Picou, her mother. First item inventoried was a farm 4 arpents wife by the customary depth, bounded by the farms of Widow Triche (Maximilien Viteman) and Daniel Matere. (Note: Gautie signed his name "Gautier.")
No. 18 dated July 12, 1780. PUBLIC SALE OF THE FARM OF THE ALTE FRANCOIS GIRARD. Pierre Cuvillier and his wife, Marie Josephe Picou, petition that they be allowed to sell a farm belonging to Marie Josephe Picou and her late husband, Francois Girard. Purpose of the sale is to settle with Girard's child. Petition is agreed to by Urbain Picou, surrogate tutor. Petition granted. Witnesses: Pierre Bossie, Jean Pierre Bossie and Jean Baptiste Barre. The farm, having 4 arpents frontage, is bounded below by the property of Widow Triche (Maximilien Viteman) and above by that of Daniel Matere. Bids submitted by: Jean Adam Vicner (Vicnair), Henry Berthelot, Jacques Leche and Jean Pierre Cuvillier. Sold to Jean Pierre Cuvillier for 350 piastres. Witnesses: Pierre Bossie, Jean Pierre Bossie and Jean Baptiste Barre.
Tutorship, May 5, 1780. Marie Joseph Picou, widow of Francois Girard, petitions Robin de Logny to select a tutor and surrogate tutor for her minor child by Francois Girard. Present with Marie Josephe Picou are: Jean Louis and Urbain Picou, her brothers; Louis Barbray, Michel Leche, David Vicner, Jacques Leche and Pierre Cuvillier, friends of the family. Marie Joseph Picou is named tutor of her minor child, Marie Therese Girard. Urbain Picou, the child's uncle, is named surrogate tutor.

Inventory of the property of the late Francois GIRARD made by Pierre Joachim Rene de Saint Germain and Pierre Gautier, residents of St Charles Parish, appraisers appointed by Robert Robin de Logny, in presence of Marie Josephe PICOU and the widow PICOU, her mother. Girard died intestte leaving minor children. The land consists of 4 1/2 x 40 on the right bank of the river ascending, bounded below by Widow Triche and above by Daniel Mater. Slave is Adelaide, Congo nation, around 15-16.

Act of tutorship of the minor child of the late Francois GIRARD and Marie Josephe PICOU, his widow, before Robert Robin de Logny and in presence of the widow; Jean Louis PIcou and Urbain Picou, brothers of the widow; Louis Barbaye; Michel Leche; David Vicner; Jacques Leche; and Pierre Cuvillier. They select the widow as tutor of her daughter, Marie Tereze, and Urbaine Picou as subrogate tutor. Jean Pierre CUVILIER and Marie Joseph PICOU, his wife, appear 2 July 1780 and petition to sell Picou's land from her first marriage to Francois Girard. Witnessed by Pierre Bossie, Jean Pierre Bossie, and Jean Bpte Barre. The land, consisting of 4 1/2 x 40 arpents on the right bank of the river ascending about 13 leagues from New Orleans, bounded below by Widow Triche and above by Daniel Mater, is auctioned on 16 and 23 July and 3 August, 1780 by Giles Quentin, auctioneer. Bidders are Jean Adam Wicner, Enry/Henri/Henry Berthelot, Jacques Leche, and Jean Pierre Cuvilier. The winner is CUVILIER at 357 piastres. Witnessed by Pierre Bossie, officer of the militia; Pierre Bossie, and Jean Bpte Barre.
