DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Elizabeth by comparing test results with other carriers of her ancestors' mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Elizabeth:

Please add Schalk Willem Burger (bef.1789-) as the correct spouse of Elsje Pienaar.

Seems that Elsje Pienaar was married to Schalk Willem Burger (bef.1789-) the son of Alewijn Johannes Burger (bef.1753-1853) & Aletta Sophia (Lubbe) Burger (1755-1793)

Berndt Burcherdt, smid + 1705 x Maria van der Merwe
b2 Willem, woonplaas Houd Constant = Paarl 28.5.1696 x Elsie van der Merwe
c2 SchaIk Willem = 20.10.1720 x 16.9.1742 Hester Smit
d5 Alewyn Johannes = 25.12.1753 x 17.5.1778 Aletta Sophia Lubbe xx 17.3.1793 Jacoba Wilhelmina van Wyk
e4 Schalk Willem = 11.9.1789 x Tulbagh 1.7.1815 Elsje Pienaar

I don't believe that's correct. If you look at the Probate record of Schalk Willem Burger (bef.1771-1834) you'll see that his 2nd wife was Elsje Pienaar, but they had no children.

Thank you Andre - always good to have you check my assumptions.

Found correct baptism registration. Please remove Schalk Willem Burger (1826-) as a son of Pienaar-2736.

He is the son of Elsje Dorothea Maria Burger (1803-1875) Baptism Schalk Willem Burger

Pienaar-3271 and Pienaar-2736 appear to represent the same person because: Duplicates. I'll do the final integration of the bio after the merge, thanks!

Thanks Theo, indeed the date of baptism is as far as I can read 1 Oct (right at the top) and listing the children baptised that day, the date of birth is given as 13 Aug 1797.

Please note that i have investigated the baptism certificate very closely and the 'birth date' recorded is the 13 Aug 1797 and not 22 Aug or 23 Aug. I have corrected and updated all the related information accordingly.

Hi, Theo could you also add the project profile [email address removed] as active manager (add to trusted list, save, then activate, then save again) to this profile, please? As soon as the LNAB has been validated with a [transcription of a] baptism [image], we will have this profile Project Profile Protected
