Biography

Effie C Pierce was born in 1861 in New York. She was the daughter of Jonathan Pierce and Celesta Burnham. ^[1]

Her family moved to Michigan about 1870. ^{[2] [3]}

Effie went into nursing. She lived for a while in Coleman, Midland, Michigan. ^{[4] [5]} She and her sister Della, a physician, were at home together from about 1910 to about 1930 in Kalamazoo. ^{[6] [7]}

Effie Pierce passed away in 1937. ^{[8] [9]}
