Biography
Charles Barton Pierce was born on November 18, 1862, in Cass, Iowa, to Margaret Ann Ellison and John Newton Pierce .Charles married Mary (Molly) Preston in Boone, Iowa, on July 1, 1886, when he was 23 years old. His wife Mary (Molly) passed away on April 16, 1936, in Woodward, Iowa, at the age of 67. They had been married 49 years. Charles then married Alice Sabin in Iowa in 1943 when he was 81 years old. Charles died on July 28, 1947, in Algona, Iowa, when he was 84 years old.
