Biography

Daniel Ernest Pierce was born in Campbell, Tennessee on 17 Jan 1904. He was the fourth child of James Garfield Pierce (18 Jul 1880) and Pida Elizabeth Ellison (24 Mar 1880). He had three brothers (Clarence Tilman Pierce (17 Feb 1901), William Howard Pierce (18 Jun 1902), Clyde Hugh Pierce (25 Apr 1914)) and six sisters (Hassie L. Ellison (1898), Alice Lavada Pierce (05 Feb 1906), Rhoda Ellen Pierce (25 Feb 1909), Myrtle Sylvia Pierce (29 Jul 1910), Ruth May Pierce (1912), Ada Florence Pierce (10 Jun 1917)).

When he was 61 years old, his father James Garfield Pierce died (13 Jun 1965). When he was 64 years old, his mother Pida Elizabeth Ellison died (29 Apr 1968).

His partner was Barbara Mae Burchfield (24 Jan 1900). He had three children with Barbara Mae Burchfield: Margaret O. Pierce (1932), Arnold Pierce (1935), Alice Pierce (1937).

In 1910 he is found living in Civil District 1, Campbell County, Tennessee according to the United States Census.^[1]

On 14 Apr 1980, he died in Monroe, Michigan when he was 76 years old.^[2] He was buried in Roselawn Memorial Park, La Salle, Michigan.^[3] His partner Barbara Mae Burchfield died on 31 Mar 1994, 14 years after him.
