The identity of Olive's parents can be confirmed through a series of deeds and probate records involving Olive as an heir-at-law of her uncle Phineas Pierce (1779-1836) of Leominster, and deeds and probate records for David and Betsey Pierce of Ashby and the 1806 probate record of Jonathan Lawrence, Jr. of Ashby who was the father of Elizabeth "Betsey" Lawrence.
