Biography

Southern Cross of Honor Charles Hatch Pierce, Lieutenant, 7th Louisiana Infantry Regiment, Company E. Son of Richard and Harriet Pierce. While a prisoner of war on Johnson's Island he made no less than seven attempts to escape.[1][2] Final resting place in Girod Street Cemetery (Defunct), New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana.[3]
