DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Esther by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Esther:
Note that for this Esther Pierce (born 1711) could not be the daughter of Nathan Richardson (born 1701 per Vinton page 57) as he would be 10 years old when she was born. The Esther Pierce he was married to was born in 1700 and died in 1727.
In the 1880 version by FC Peirce's Peirce Genealogy page xv, he lists Stephen Pierce of Chelmsford (son of Stephen ) marrying Esther Fletcher and having a daughter Esther.
Per Vinton, page 225, John Richardson married Esther Peirce, born 1711.
See Pierce-690, who I believe is this same Esther Pierce, daughter of Stephen and Esther. However there are problems that have to be resolved before they can be merged, such as... a different spouse and different date of death....See notes and references for Pierce-690. I have seen the Vital Record of the marriage of Esther Pierce and John Richardson, although I have not found anything that confirms that the Esther Pierce who married John Richardson was the daughter of Stephen.
"Peirce Genealogy..." by Frederick C Peirce, 1882, reports (p. 38) that Esther Peirce married Nathan Richardson, not John Richardson. This is confirmed by Richardson genealogy as contained in "The Richardson memorial, comprising a full history and genealogy.... " John A Vinton, 1876, p. 57-58. If no one else wants to correct this, I can do it.
