NOTES
David Pierce, known as "Uncle Boss" never married. His picture can be found with the Daniel Pierce family in 1932. He was a farmer.
On January 20. 1999, Rachel Pierce Hoket told me that "Uncle Boss" had been married. She said they found a picture of a child in his possessions when she was young. She said Uncle Boss never talked about the picture of the child or a marriage. As long as Rachel could remember, Uncle Boss had lived with her mother and daddy. Her daddy was Uncle Boss' brother, Daniel A. Pierce. (by DSC)
D.B. Pierce checked into a hotel in Jasper, AL. in 1888.
