1730 Captain Benjamin Pierce, age 73, died on May 3, 1730 in Scituate, Plymouth, Province of Massachusetts Bay, and was buried in Groveland Cemetery, Scituate, Plymouth, Province of Massachusetts Bay. Find A Grave: Memorial #23939129[8]
His occupations were farmer, saw mill owner, and surveyor appointed in 1700. He was appointed Captain of the local militia. [9]
Benjamin's' will (attached as images) probated in 1730, mentioned Ebenezer's oldest son, Benjamin, who was to receive 10 pounds in bills of credit, or goods of equal value. If Benjamin were to die before turning 21, the 10 pounds were to be equally distributed “among his brethren & sisters.”[10] That means that Ebenezer had several other children that we don’t have names for.
His inventory was taken on 26 October 1730 in Scituate.[10]
