He was a farmer and moved to Vermont at sometime in his early adulthood and then moved to Hannibal N.Y. sometime in the late 1820's where he presumedly met and married his first wife, Almina Adams, in 1829. After her death in 1852 he moved a few miles to Red Creek N.Y. where he met and married a widow, Rebecce Snyder Easton. They resided in Red Creek and Wolcott, Wayne County, N.Y. There is no record of any other children.
