Henry Francis Pierce was born February 3rd, 1804 in New Providence, Bahamas
Henry Francis Pearce and Elizabeth Eleanor Weech married about 1828
Although both Henry and Elizabeth were born in New Providence, they must have moved to Eleuthera before 1829 as all of their children were born at Current and Bluff.
The couple had children:
Robert Henry
Cornelius
Hezekiah
Elizabeth Ann
Joseph Bruce ?? added by Michelle Zealander as a possibility raised in correspondence with another member of wikitree-this needs needs verification. For what its worth the name Joseph Bruce was used by Hezekiah , for one of his sons.
James Elias Pearce
NB. Pearce vs. Pearce. Birth and death records in the Bahamas Civil Registration consistently indicate that Pearce is spelled with an "a". The Pearces spelled their name with an "a" when they signed the wedding register. The spelling was changed to Pierce as soon as the family arrived in Key West. I am respecting the records of our ancestors by spelling each person's name the way they did, by using Pearce for Bahamian records and Pierce for Key West.
