Biography

Hester/Esther Pierce, daughter of John Pierce and Elizabeth Trulle of Watertown,[1] married about 1637, Joseph Morse, oldest son of Joseph and Deborah Morse, who, when aged 24 years, embarked at Ipswich, England on April 1, 1634, in the ship Elizabeth. [2] Their children were:

  • Joseph born April 30, 1637; died in 1677; married Susanna Shattuck on Feb. 11, 1661.
  • John born Feb. 28, 1639; married first Anne Smith, daughter of John Smith of Lancaster where he first settled. He removed to Watertown and married second, Abigail Stearns.
  • Hester born March 7, 1646; married Jonathan Bullard of Watertown on Dec. 9, 1669.
  • Jonathan born 7: 9m: 1643 at Watertown and was buried at Watertown 12: 3m: 1643. (p. 11) [3]
  • Sarah born June 2, 1669; married Timothy Cooper at Groton on June 2, 1669.
  • Jeremiah born ___; died at Newton Sept. 27, 1719; married Abigail Woodward on Jan. 13, 1681 at Watertown.
  • Isaac born ___; resided in Newton. (? Isaac Mos died Jan. 3, 1716 at Newton)

Hester died May 4, 1694 and is buried at the Old Burying Place, Watertown, Middlesex, Massachusetts. [4]
