Frank B. Pierce, 88 years old, one of the county's best known citizens, died at his home at Norfleet, Dec. 31. For forty years Mr. Pierce was employed in the Civil Service uder the Internal Revenue Bureau. He also engaged in farming many years. He was the father of Mrs. W.C. Norfleet of Somerset. He was an upright citizen, respected by all who knew him. The funeral service was held at the Pierce graveyard Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Wesley Colyer officiating. He is survived by his widow and six children, Tom, Grover, Hugh, and Carter Pierce, of Burnetta, Mrs. Lizzie Brock of Nancy, and Mrs. Norfleet.
