Elizabeth Margaret Pierson had in her bible that her great grandfather John Pierson was born in England.

Walter Schoonover recalled of his grandmother that Vivien Jones, considered Margaret Schoonover the closest thing she had to a mother, having lost her own Mother. She visited Margaret often and often caught the train from Charleston, arriving 9:15 am in Elkhurst, leaving at 3:50 pm to sit with her in her final days. Margaret lived with Walter's folks and was 90 to 95 percent blind.
