Isaac Pierson was born in Branford, Connecticut in 1661. He was the son of Abraham Pierson and Abigail Mitchell.
For political and religious reasons, his father moved the family and most of his Branford parish to New-Ark (now Newark), New Jersey, in 1666.
He is said to have married Elizabeth Hall in 1685 (https://www.ancestry.com/discoveryui-content/view/54052:2383). Findagrave says Pierson married Sarah Harrison, daughter of John Harrison, a merchant in Wethersfield, Connecticut, but she was supposedly married to Thomas Vail.
