Henry Clay Pierson, son of Peter and Almira (Huntley) Pearson, was born on 16 Jan. 1829 at Lyme, New London County, Connecticut, USA.^[1]

He was a farmer when he appeared on the census of 1 June 1860 in the home of his father at Lyme, New London County, Connecticut.^[2]

He married Mary Ellen Mitchell on 22 April 1869.^[1]

He was a farmer when he and Mary appeared on the census of 18 June 1880 at Lyme, New London County, Connecticut.^[3]
