HOLLAND, JOAN

Joan Holland, age 64, of Waco died Tuesday, October 2, 2001 at her residence. Services will be 1:00PM Friday, October 5th at St. Matthew Lutheran Church with Rev. Wallace Shealy and Rev. Patricia Dietrich officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery, Hillsboro, TX. Visitation with the family will be 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, October 4th at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd.

Mrs. Holland was born September 24, 1937 in Clifton, the daughter of John and Ruth Pierson. She was reared and educated in Waco. She attended Waco High School. She married A.B. (Billy) Holland January 27, 1962. He preceded her in death February 6, 1987. She was a longtime member of First Lutheran Church and in recent years attended St. Matthew Lutheran Church. She was a warm, loving person who always found her greatest joy in taking care of her family. She will be greatly missed by all.

Son and daughter-in-law: Michael and Cynthia Frey of China Spring

Grandchildren: Ashley, Arley, Parker and Joseph Pustejovsky of Cypress, Amy and Michael Frey, IV of China Spring

Sisters: Nell O’Connor and husband, Jim of Houston, Linda Cisneros and husband, Al of Austin

Brother: Donald Pierson and wife, Ann of Waco

Uncle: Lauris Huse of Clifton

Beloved nieces and nephews

Her first husband: Michael Frey, Jr. of China Spring

Pallbearers will be Eric Pierson, Scott O’Connor, Jim O’Connor, Keith Augenthaler, Parker Pustejovsky, and Michael Shepherd.
