I understand. The Pierson/Pearson name for me has been a struggle to trace back. Frederick Pierson is my 3rd great grandpa, and is as far back I confidently say on that line. He had like 13 children, but only 3 of them ever made to have children, once of which was my 2nd great grandma. It's kind of exciting to meet anyone who descended from the other two sons that had children.

I see. I made that profile unlocked so you could add info if you needed to. Just a bit curious, are you related to Frederick Joseph Pierson (1835-1901)? His family came from Ireland, but he was born in Quebec, Canada before getting into Michigan.

Hey, I saw the comment on Thomas Poda. That first name was a spelling mistake on my part. Didn’t realize it was a typo until pointed out.

And I would assume he is the same on FamilySearch. I was in contact with his brother in law (my distant cousin) who provided me with the info.

Hi Victoria, In response to your comment that Esther Elizabeth Strobel's first and middle name(s) need to be corrected is odd. Esther Elizabeth Strobel is my mother.

Thank you for your persistence. I took another look and believe that the two Hannah Peet's are the same person.

I am not one of the profile managers, however I am working on cleaning up some of the "suggestions" i.e. error messages and have performed cleanup after the merge for Pierson-138 as you suggested earlier in the year. You are welcome to make further modifications as you see fit. You do not need to be a profile manager.

Welcome to the 1776 Project (http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:1776), a subproject of the Military and War Project: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Projects#Military_and_War_Project

There are category links to add to your ancestor's profiles and research links to learn more about your family. The Project is a good way to consolidate the WikiTree ancestors with historic connections to the years of 1773 (Boston Tea Party) to 1789 (ratification of the U.S. Constitution.) All patriot, loyalist, Hessians, French, Native Americans or any other profiles with a connection to these years should be linked to an appropriate category in the Project.

If you haven’t already, please set your preferences for your Tags Followed to include 1776 Project and any other tag terms that you wish to follow: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:Following

Some categories have a template (SAR) to add at the top of a biography. If not, add a category link by putting the category name such as
Victoria (Pierson) Crosley participated in the American Revolution

for those who bore arms in the Revolution. Thank you.

Hi Victoria,

Thank you for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Participation in a project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles.

Based on your tags, check out the One Name Studies Project to see if anyone has started a project for one of the surnames in your family. Don't see one? Follow the instructions for starting your own! Another suggestion might be Ohio Project this is part of United States History Project

Please ask me, if you have questions. :-)
