Richard Pierson, author of the Pierson Millenium, speculates that there may have been two children, of Henry Pierson, born between Joseph (b.c. 1640) and (John b. c. 1648). He assumes that they died young or were female who had no records found.
He designates them daughter #1 (b.c. 1642) and daughter #2 (b. c. 1645)

Long Island Source Records From The New York Genealogical and Biographical Record, by Henry Hoff, reprinted by the Clearfield Company, Inc. by Genealogical Publishing Co., Inc, Baltimore, Maryland. 2001. Includes the Salmon Records
Thank you.
I don't think I have ready access to the 2001 reprint. The 1987 edition is available at Ancestry.com in two volumes, vol. 1; vol. 2.
If you have access to these records at Ancestry, are you able to help me find the relevant information by volume and page number?
Thank you in advance for any assistance you are able to provide.--Gene
