Biography

Possible children: Tjitske, Sijtse (married Trijntjie Ariens from Oldeboorn in Oldeboorn January 10 1666 & Wijbrich Sannes from Oldeboorn on Feb 16 1679), Johannes (married Trijntje Cornelis from Grouw on Dec 29 1661 in Grouw), Pieter (married Eb Jelles from Warga on Jan 1 1666 in Grouw), Aukje (married Andries Heerkes from Warga on Dec 21 1673 in Grouw), Sipke (married Janke Geerts from Warga on July 12 1674 in Grouw), Frouk (married Harmen Aukes from Grouw on Feb 24 1678), Grietje (married Rienk Pybes from Grouw on May 18 1679 in Grouw; baptized in the Reformed Church at the same time so she must have been born Mennonite) .

None of these people had any children listed as baptized in the Reformed Church, so it can be assumed they were all (or almost all) Mennonite. All those I found having children were deleted. This was the only marriage record for a Jelle from Grouw at the right time, but there may have been two or three men named Jelle in Grouw at the right time. It’s hard to know which one was actually Tjitske’s father.^[1]

Jelle Pieters was originally from Schilkampen.
