Biography

Joseph was born and baptized on 2 December 1759 in Berthier-en-Haut, son of Joseph Piette and of Marie Amable Guibo. [1]

Marriage
On 24 January 1785 in Lanoraie, Joseph Piet, son of the late Joseph Piet and of Marie Guebeau (sic), married Thérèse Beaugrant, daughter of Pierre Beaugrant dit Champagne and of Thérèse Coder. His step-father Pierre sylvestre was present at the wedding.[2]

5 known children from the marriage, 1 known to die young and 3 to marry.[3]

Thérèse died in 1797.[3]

Marriage 2
On 1 August 1803 in St-Cuthbert, Joseph Piette, widower of Thérèse Beaugrand dite Champagne, remarried with Josephe Moreau, daughter of Michel Moreau and of Marie Caron.[4]

7 known children from the marriage, of which 2 known to die young and 3 to marry. The family were in the area of Pointe-Claire and surrounding parishes from the baptisms of the children.[3]

Death
Joseph Piet, husband of Josette Moreau, died on 3 April 1824 and was buried on the 6th in Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue, the record giving him 64 years of age.[5]
