WILLIAM PIGGOTT, Son of John and Margery Piggott was born in Sycil [sic] County Maryland. 8 : 6 1726, and SARAH PIGGOTT, Daughter of John and Abigail Pike was born in Pasquotank County North Carolina. 26 : 7 1733 had the following children born in Orringe [sic] County North Carolina:
JOHN PIGGOTT their Son was born 19 : 2 1751 [19th day of 2nd month]
SAMUEL PIGGOTT their Son was born 7 : 10 1752 [7th day of 10 month]
JEREMIAH PIGGOTT their Son was born 18 : 2 1755 [18th day of 2nd month]
ABIGAIL PIGGOTT their Daughter was born 2 : 1 1757 [2nd day of 1st month]
MARGERY PIGGOTT their Daughter was born 5 : 2 1759 [5th day of 2nd month]
SARAH PIGGOTT their Daughter was born 15 : 10 1760 [15th day of 10th month]
MARY PIGGOTT their Daughter was born 17 : 7 1762 [17th day of 7th month]
WILLIAM PIGGOTT their Son was born 3: 12 1766 [3rd day of 12th month]
RACHEL PIGGOTT their Daughter was born 17 : 4 1769 [17th day of 4th month][2]
WILLLIAM PIGGOTT of Orange County province of North Carolina wrote his Last Will and Testament on the "9th day of the second month called February 1770" noting:
"ordain and constitute JEREMIAH PIGGOTT and BENJAMIN PIGGOTT to be my sole Executors...eldest son, JOHN PIGGOTT and youngest son, WILLIAM PIGGOTT all that tract of land I bought of RICHARD HENDERSON in the county of Orange and on the middle fork of Rocky River adjoining the south end of THOMAS RANSOMS line to be divided between them two...my second son SAML PIGGOTT and third son JEREMIAH PIGGOTT tract of land whereon I now live be equally divided...beloved wife SARAH...to my six daughters namely ABIGAIL, MERGORY, SARAH, MARAH, ELIZABETH and RACHEL all the remainder part of my personal estate...also allow my three youngest sons SAMUEL, JEREMIAH and WILLIAM to advance each of the 2£ a piece ...fifteen£ to be equally divided amongst my six daughters. presence of HENRY UNDERWOOD, THOMAS MOLBOROUGH, SIMON ADONSON"...recorded April Court 1770[3]
WILLIAM PIGGOTT departed this life 1st day of 3rd month 1770, and "buryed" the 3rd day of 3rd month in friends burying ground at Cane Creek meeting house.[4]
