At least three separate documents state that Ruth Ann Pigot's parents - Dr. Edward Pigot and Ruth (Havens) Pigot - were married on October 9, 1733, in Marblehead, Massachusetts. Although her father, Edward, WAS born in England, it seems more likely that Ruth Ann Pigot was born in Rhode Island or one of the other New England colonies, not England.
