Joseph lived in Dunstable and Hoillis. In 1786, his homestead and other land changed from being Hollis to become part of Brookline.
He married Abigail Sawtell (b. Groton, Mass, Nov 3, 1753, daughter of Ephraim Sawtell and Abigail Stone) on 27 May 1778, in Mason. Joseph died in 1802.
They are said to have had fifteen, possibly 16, children:
