William & his brother moved into the large county of Nelson just as Kentucky became a state. They moved from St. Mary's Maryland and helped name a town called St. Mary's.
They were Catholics and he & his children were all interred in Catholic cemeteries. At least one daughter became a Nun.
His Will indicated that he wished to be buried in Holy Cross, Holy Cross, Marion County, Kentucky. As far as we know, that is where he was interred.
He actually moved into the present day county of Marion. Nelson County Kentucky that was formed from Jefferson County in 1784. This is while Nelson County was a county of Virginia. Kentucky wasn't a state until 1792. Their location was morphed into Washington County in 1792 and then changed again in 1834 when they became part of Marion County Ky. These county changes must be considered as one is following this family.[1]
His family probably immagrated from Northern Ireland where the Church of England wasn't recognized.
His brother is John.
Robert Pike settled at St Mary's County, Maryland in March 1633/34. Much of this bio is from Find A Grave. His headstone hasn't been found. [2]
