Dinah, a pioneer resident of Junee, died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. E. Bates, at Mortdale at the age of 81 years. With her husband, William, was a farmer at 'Pikedale' between Junee and Temora many years before. They gave up on farm life and moved to Junee where they stayed and raised a large family. In the early life of 'Pike-dale' (named after the four Pike brothers, William, Louis, Gus and Ferd, all farmers), there were 25 members of Pike families at the Pikedale school and one scholar named Robbins. Two sons, Harold and Ernest, were killed in railway accidents at Junee. Dinah, who married her cousin, was a member of the well-known Pike family, of Prospect, near Sydney, where she was born. Was survived by two brothers, Ollie, of "Westlands", Termora and Squire, of Sydney, as well as one sister, Mrs. Neave, of Sydney.
