Albert Pike was born in the Colony of Tasmania (1856-1900)

Albert was born in 1898. He is the son of Joshua Pike and Esther Williams. [1]

Albert served in World War 1 in the AIF (90th B Infantry and 5th Machine Gun Battalion). He first enlisted at Claremont, Tasmania, in 1914, then again in 1916, returning to Australia in January 1919.[2]

Albert Charles Pike (Bachelor, age 21, of 3rd M.G.Bn.A.I.F, Paddington London, Telegraphist, son of Joshua Pike, Zeehan Tasmania, Miner) married Mabel Beatrice Willett (Spinster, age 19, of 47 Star St. Paddington, London, daughter of Geo. H. Willett, Barcombe Street, Baker St Maryville, Commercial Clerk London) on 5 November 1918 at the Registry Office, Paddington [2] Apparently Mabel refused to emigrate to Australia and they were divorced.[citation needed]

Albert married Veronica Mary Turner in 1936, in Victoria. [4]

Albert died in 1980, aged 82, at Glenroy, Victoria. His death registration listed his place of birth as Zeehan, Tasmania, and his parents as PIKE Joseph (?) and Elsie (Williams) (?). [5]
