Hi Ann, I am speculating that there is a link down the line somewhere between this family and my John Pilcher-548, since he is from Folkestone which is in the Elham region. I have found him in the 1841 census birth year 1808 with wife Jane, at Foord Hamlet. Have you researched this family very much? My John was son of Roger, but I haven't found a Roger Pilcher yet.
