1594 Office of the judge against Geo Pilgrim of Earls Colne noted for suspicion of incontinency with Sarah Cutler his servant.[2]
1595 25th July George Pilgrim married Sarah Cutler Earls Colne.[3]
1622 He behaved badly in the case of ‘Greening Samon and King v King and Pilgrim, where he had lent money to on Richard Underwood against property held by Underwood who for various reasons ended in fleet prison, where he died. His heirs were all minors and George Pilgrim held the debt as reason to use the land for his own profit whilst holding the children under threat. [4]
After his death his wife Sarah appeared with his will on 8 May 1623. His net worth was just over £12 [6] He left his goods to Sara and the contested land to his son John. His brother in law John Cutler to be supervisor. Signed in the presence of William Adams, John Grigs, John Bridge. [7]
