DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Sarah by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Sarah:
The information on Sarah, wife of Elisha Yarborough is erroneous. There are only 3 known primary sources for information on Sarah. 1) 1850 Haywood Co, NC census gives her name as SARY YARBOROUGH 2) Her tombstone in the Crabtree Baptist Ch Cemetery which gives her dates of birth and death. 3) Marriage license of her son, Miner to his second wife lists his mother's name as SARAH. There are no primary records that show that she had a middle name or that her maiden name was PINCKNEY. There are some family researchers who feel that her maiden name was ADKINS, but this is also unproven.
