After the Civil War Rosetta was in charge of her husband's estate. She signed Freedmen's Bureau Labor contracts, 1866-1867, for the newly emancipated to work on the Weymouth Plantation.[2][3]
Rosetta died in 1872[4] and was buried at the Island Cemetery, Newport , Rhode Island[5]
