Biography
Charles was born about 1793. He was the son of John Pinney and Jane Weekes[1]
Merchant of Bristol, partner in Pinney and Case brother of John Frederick Pinney and Mayor of Bristol during the 1831 riots over the Reform Bill. He was a major recipient of compensation from the British Government when slavery was abolished, for his property in Nevis and St Kitts, primarily as mortgagee. [2]
He passed away in 1867[3].
