According to FamilySearch.com, her race was "mulatto"
Grama Weezie remembers her Grama Kizzie. She had an experience with her before she started school. Kizzie was churning butter on the back porch. Louise "Weezzie" was with her. Kizzie had to go inside for a minute and told Weezzie, "Whatever you do, don't let those dogs get into the buttermilk!" Well, grama spilled the churn and the dogs ate all the buttermilk. Grama Kizzie came outside and YELLED at Weezie in her 'unknown tounge' (Indian language)! Gram aobeyed her after that.
However, I show Kizzie died in 1926. Grama would have only been 1 year old? That doesn't seem right.
