Biography

Sophronie Pinsonneault was born on 29 Apr 1828 in Chambly, Bas-Canada. She was the daughter of Alexandre Pinsonneau and his wife Marie Horteau. Sophronie was baptized at Saint-Joseph-de-Chambly on 30 Apr 1828.

Sophronie married David Carpentier on 7 Aug 1855 in Saint-Georges-de-Henryville parish.[1]

Sophronie passed away on 25 Dec 1900 in Northampton, Hampshire, Massachusetts. She was buried at Saint Mary Cemetery in Northampton.[2]

1880 Leeds, Northampton, Massachusetts Sophronie (age 50) and David (age 44) lived in Leeds, Massachusetts with their children, Caroline (age 20), Leon (age 18), Melina (age 16), Francis (age 14), Levi (age 12), Joseph (age 10) and Mary (age 8). David and their children (Leon, Melina, Francis and Levi) worked in a button factory, while Sophronie tended to their home.[3]
