A James and Elizabeth Piper immigrated to the Victorian Colony at the end of July 1841 on the Westminster; as Assisted (Bounty) Immigrants. [2] At this time Victoria was still part of New South Wales. If they are the same couple, then James was 22 and Elizabeth 26 year of age. James and Elizabeth are both listed as natives of Cornwall England.
Elizabeth gave birth to their first child John Thomas Piper before the end of that same year in the Victorian Colony.
They would go on to have at least 5 children:
James Piper passed away in December 1911 and is buried in the Barrabool Hills Cemetery, Highton, Victoria, Australia. Where his beloved Elizabeth was buried in 1884.
