Biography

Hannah "Ruth" Pipes was born in 1821 at Amherst, Cumberland Co., Nova Scotia. She is the daughter of John Parkinson Pipes and Hannah Smith. Ruth married Robert Salter. They had at least two children, Alida King Salter and Ruth Hannah Salter.

Ruth Salter died of consumption at the age of 49, on 27 Nov 1871 at Diligent River, Cumberland Co., Nova Nova Scotia.[1]
