Carl Andreas Pisani was born in 1838. Later records list his birth location as Bergen in Norway.
In 1850, he was 12 years old and lived in the Roman Catholic orphanage in Stockholm, Sweden. They were 13 boys and 14 girls. His future wife Selma also lived there at the time.[1]
Goldsmith apprentice/Guldsmedslärling living in kvarteret Skansen in Klara parish, in Stockholm, Sweden in 1860.[2]
He married Selma Carolina Liljedahl on July 1, 1866 in Sankta Eugenia, the Roman Catholic church of Stockholm. The records were kept in latin.[3]
He worked at the National Library of Sweden as a Janitor and his language skills made him useful at the department for foreign books. He committed suicide according to this newspaper.
[Source: Sundsvalls Tidning 1888-NOV-03]
In the newspaper article above Pisani is called an Italian, but Carl Andreas (Anders) Pisani was born in Bergen, Norway. He supposedly came of Italian stock. He was married and had children. [Source: Rotemansarkivet, Stockholm]
