Luke was born in 1918. He was the son of Solomon Pitcher and Rachel Smith. He passed away in 2009.

PITCHER, Luke Smith — Peacefully at the Waterford Retirement Community, Barrie on Saturday December 5, 2009 in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of the late Emily Pitcher. Loving father of Marvella Sargent, Marilyn Nardelli, Wilson Pitcher, Phyllis Ash, Mack Pitcher, Sarah Pitcher, Dolores Pitcher and their families. Predeceased by daughter Leona Wingate. “Pop” of 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Friends may call at the STECKLEY- GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOME (30 Worsley St.) Barrie from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Thursday December 10, 2009 at 11:00. Interment Barrie Union Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Royal Canadian Legion would be appreciated. Condolences may be forwarded through www.steckleygooderham.com
