Louis Onezime Pitre was born 20 March 1845 in Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana, USA.[1][2] His parents were Louis Onesime Charles Pitre and Azelie Joubert. [3]
His mother died after 1850 and his father appears to have remarried by 1860.[4]
Louis was widowed by 1900.[2] By 1910 he was living in the household of his oldest son, Arthur.[9]
Louis Onesime Pitre died 19 December 1917 at St Landry, Louisiana.[10]
