Biography

Michel Pitre is one of twins.

Joseph and Michel, twin sons of Charles Pitre and Marie Blanchard were born the morning of 14 Jul 1764 and baptized the following day in the parish of Saint-François-du-Lac, Province de Québec. Joseph’s godparents were Joseph Clement and Catherine Thibodeau and godparents for Michel were Michel Despiens and Marie Anne Blanchar. ^[1]

Research Notes

Could not find a burial record for a death on or around 10 October 1785. It is the same date as Marie's marriage, and similar to Joseph's burial on 10 October 1764, so possibly a mix of these. PRDH gives, for Michel, a death on 26 July 1768. ^[2] This date is presently attributed to Unknown Pitre born around 1768. However, this record does not give a name, gender or age for the child.
